About the Production Supervisor Role

ALPLA Group is seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to join our team in Dammam, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This role involves overseeing shift operations, ensuring production efficiency, quality, and safety standards are consistently met within our manufacturing facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle all shift resource allocations effectively across process, packing, and cleaning teams.
• Perform product changeovers and execute necessary mechanical adjustments.
• Troubleshoot mechanical or process issues and implement required adjustments.
• Adjust machines post-changeover to ensure articles meet required quality standards.
• Ensure adequate safety processes are in place and adhered to.
• Implement checks and balances to maintain production integrity and achieve KPIs/targets.
• Manage waste, regrinding, material consumption inventory accuracy, and repacking activities during the shift.
• Coordinate efficient repacking activities with planning and warehouse teams.
• Report any unusual equipment functions or deviations from planning to the Production Manager.
• Assure all relevant production figures are collected for handover to the next shift.
• Maintain responsibility for all material inventories during the shift.
• Ensure all reports are filled out and prepared correctly.
• Supervise all 5S activities within the shift and report any failures to the Production Manager.
• Ensure correct data entry in Oracle and ALPLA systems, assess with the team, and highlight variations to the Production Manager.
• Coordinate effectively with quality control, warehouse, and maintenance personnel.
• Oversee the implementation of 5S activities.
• Report and cross-check process standards, quality checks, and other checklists according to SOPs.
• Ensure products are defect-free and produced according to quality standards.
• Ensure the team is trained on Safety Standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Education: High School Diploma or a 2-year technical degree.
• Experience: 5-10 years of relevant experience, including at least three years of hands-on experience in blow or injection molding, setups, troubleshooting, and process improvement.
• Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of plastics injection molding equipment, processes, and control systems.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Technical Skills: Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Operating System and MS Office applications.
• Interpersonal Skills: Good communication skills and proven people management abilities.
• Personal Attributes: High level of energy, commitment to acting in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, adherence to all ALPLA policies, procedures, and Safety Standards.
• Flexibility: Must be flexible to work both day and night shifts as required, and to extend work up to 12 hours if necessary.
• Cultural Fit: Punctuality, positive attitude, strong sense of responsibility, ability to integrate into the department, respect for personnel, accuracy, and adherence to Health & Safety standards.
