Account Manager Pharmaceutical

About the Role

***********国际人才招聘网 is supporting an international pharmaceutical company in the recruitment of an experienced Account Manager. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. The Account Manager will focus on developing pharmaceutical clients, identifying technology transfer and business cooperation opportunities, and managing key accounts.

Role Context

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating projects from initial discussion through commercial negotiation and implementation. This role involves close collaboration with pharmaceutical manufacturers, government-related organizations, distributors, and internal technical teams across Saudi Arabia and the wider Middle East region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new pharmaceutical clients and business opportunities within Saudi Arabia.
• Identify potential technology transfer, product licensing, contract manufacturing, and CDMO cooperation projects.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with pharmaceutical manufacturers, distributors, government-related organizations, and other key stakeholders.
• Understand clients’ business and technical requirements to propose suitable solutions.
• Manage the complete business development process, including lead generation, client meetings, proposal preparation, commercial negotiation, and contract follow-up.
• Coordinate with internal technical, regulatory, manufacturing, quality, and project teams to support project evaluation and implementation.
• Support pharmaceutical technology transfer projects from initial assessment through execution.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, regulatory developments, and investment opportunities within the Saudi pharmaceutical industry.
• Prepare sales forecasts, business reports, account plans, and project updates.
• Attend industry conferences, exhibitions, and client meetings in Saudi Arabia and other Middle Eastern markets.
• Achieve agreed business development and revenue targets.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Solid understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and GMP / ICH requirements.
• Experience working with pharmaceutical manufacturers or managing complex B2B projects.
• Strong client development, commercial negotiation, presentation, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both commercial and technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of the Saudi pharmaceutical market and local business environment.
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a developing market.
• Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia and across the Middle East.

Preferred Qualifications

• Existing relationships with pharmaceutical companies or relevant industry stakeholders in Saudi Arabia.
• Experience in pharmaceutical technology transfer, localization, licensing, or contract manufacturing projects.
• Familiarity with the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) and local pharmaceutical regulations.
• Experience working for an international pharmaceutical, CDMO, or life-sciences company.
• Knowledge of Saudi Arabia’s pharmaceutical localization and industrial development initiatives.
