Role Overview

SME Careers, a subsidiary of SuperAnnotate, is seeking an experienced Arabic Quality Assurance Lead (QAL) to join their team. This remote contractor role, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is central to ensuring high quality and consistency across Arabic AI training projects.

Position Summary

The Arabic Quality Assurance Lead will oversee the quality, consistency, and performance of trainers and QAs involved in Arabic AI training initiatives. This involves reviewing AI-generated Arabic content and the work of trainers and QAs, evaluating output against project guidelines, and providing precise feedback to maintain expected quality standards. This leadership role is critical for enhancing premier AI models by ensuring Arabic training data is natural, accurate, culturally appropriate, well-documented, and client-aligned.

Core Responsibilities

• Conduct quality monitoring by spot-checking Arabic items, identifying quality issues, providing ongoing feedback, and escalating recurring or critical concerns.
• Communicate updates to trainers and QAs regarding new item guidelines, project changes, workflow adjustments, and quality expectations.
• Respond promptly and clearly to trainer and QA questions, particularly concerning Arabic wording, grammar, register, dialect, RTL formatting, translation fidelity, terminology, and cultural context.
• Manage trainer and QA activation by engaging inactive contributors, encouraging participation, tracking follow-ups, and flagging availability issues when needed.
• Create and maintain comprehensive Arabic project documentation, including style guides, trackers, FAQs, quality notes, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
• Schedule and conduct onboarding and training sessions for trainers and QAs to explain project expectations, workflows, rubrics, quality standards, and Arabic-specific style requirements.
• Ensure consistent application of Arabic language guidelines by all trainers and QAs, and confirm understanding of project updates as projects evolve.
• Identify recurring quality gaps, propose workflow improvements, and contribute to building scalable QA processes for Arabic-language projects.

Content Quality Assessment Focus

A key aspect of this role involves meticulously assessing Arabic content for various quality parameters. These include accuracy, fluency, grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, meaning preservation, adherence to instructions, formatting, and compliance with project-specific rubrics.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in quality assurance, localization, or a similar field with a strong focus on the Arabic language. Demonstrated leadership in managing quality standards and providing constructive feedback is essential.

Work Arrangement and Location

This is a contract-based, remote position. While the role operates remotely, the primary location for this opportunity is Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Salary for this position will be disclosed during the recruitment process.
