Business Continuity Consultant

About the Role

TestCrew | Quality Engineering & Software Testing is seeking an experienced Business Continuity Consultant to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires 5-10 years of experience and involves providing strategic guidance to the IT department on business continuity requirements, risk management, disaster recovery, and continuity decision-making. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with business and IT stakeholders to assess critical processes and applications, identify risks and dependencies, and ensure robust Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) strategies and governance frameworks are in place.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and analyze critical business processes, applications, systems, and dependencies to identify continuity requirements and potential risks.
• Provide expert recommendations on Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BC/DR) strategies, plans, and solutions.
• Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to identify business risks, technology dependencies, critical services, and recovery requirements.
• Support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery frameworks.
• Lead and oversee the implementation of business continuity governance frameworks, policies, procedures, and best practices.
• Ensure business continuity activities are aligned with organizational policies, industry standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management practices.
• Support governance activities, including monitoring compliance, identifying gaps, and recommending appropriate corrective actions.
• Contribute to the development and maintenance of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs), Disaster Recovery Plans (DRPs), and related documentation.
• Coordinate and support BC/DR testing, exercises, simulations, and recovery assessments.
• Analyze test results and incidents to identify lessons learned and drive continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic advice to IT leadership and relevant stakeholders on continuity risks, recovery capabilities, and improvement priorities.
• Prepare and present assessments, recommendations, reports, and status updates to relevant stakeholders and management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, IT Risk, IT Governance, or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of business processes and IT applications, including the relationship between business operations and technology dependencies.
• Hands-on experience in developing or implementing Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery strategies, frameworks, and plans.
• Experience conducting Business Impact Analysis (BIA), risk assessments, dependency assessments, and recovery planning.
• Strong understanding of BC/DR governance, policies, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience working closely with both business and IT stakeholders.
