Design Section Manager Wooden Factory

About the Role

alfanar Group is seeking a Design Section Manager | Wooden Factory to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 0-1 years of experience and involves leading and managing all technical activities related to wooden joinery products. The role focuses on ensuring accurate design development, adherence to engineering standards, manufacturability, material optimization, and quality compliance from concept through installation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the technical office responsible for shop drawings, production drawings, and material specifications.
• Review and approve technical submittals, design details, and construction drawings.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, client requirements, and industry standards.
• Develop technical standards for joinery manufacturing and installation.
• Supervise the preparation of detailed shop drawings using AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, or related software.
• Coordinate design development with architects, consultants, and clients.
• Resolve design conflicts and technical issues before production.

General Management Duties

• Recruit, recognize, and cultivate high performers to build a robust second line of management.
• Guide low performers towards improvement or manage their release.
• Ensure fair treatment of subordinates without discrimination, basing assessments on performance and results.
• Take full responsibility for operations and deliverables, adhering to company guidelines.
• Anticipate problems and implement proactive steps to prevent them, making timely decisions.
• Deliver required results on time, within quality standards, and cost-effectively.
• Contribute tangibly to the area of operation and exceed business expectations.
• Translate corporate goals into business plans, then plan, follow up, and execute these plans.
• Monitor plan performance, initiate actions to strengthen results, and take corrective measures.
• Provide periodic work progress reports and control budgets and expenses for optimum cost efficiency.
• Develop the organizational structure based on current and future requirements.
• Ensure the availability and deployment of job descriptions for all roles.
• Develop and coordinate written systems, policies, and procedures, seeking automation opportunities.
• Utilize IT solutions relevant to the job and business, promoting their full use.
• Uphold quality as a prime competitive advantage.
• Adapt to new techniques, technologies, management structures, and business models.
• Ensure a safe, secure, and legal work environment according to standard regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 years of relevant experience.
