About the Role

Qiddiya is seeking a Director Business Planning to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading the development and implementation of business planning standards, supporting business units in plan development, and overseeing strategic planning support and governance processes.

Business Planning Standards and Framework Development

• Lead the development and periodic update of standardized business planning processes, procedures, templates, and tools, ensuring alignment with the stage gate process.
• Ensure consistent application of business planning standards and methodologies across all business unit submissions, reviewing outputs for compliance and providing guidance where gaps are identified.
• Maintain the central business planning repository, ensuring approved templates, methodologies, and validated business plans are version-controlled, current, and accessible.

Business Plan Development Support and Compliance

• Guide business unit Development Financial Analysis teams in preparing five-year execution plans, providing structured business planning guidance to promote consistency with established standards.
• Review, validate, and assess the compliance of development business plans submitted at each stage gate, ensuring they reflect approved scope, financial assumptions, realistic timelines, and established standards prior to governance review.
• Provide structured feedback to business unit Development Financial Analysis teams on business plan submissions requiring refinement, ensuring identified gaps are addressed and submissions satisfy requirements.

Strategic Planning Support and Governance

• Support development stakeholders in strategic business planning by providing planning analysis, portfolio insights, and recommendations to inform priorities and decision-making.
• Liaise with business unit Development Financial Analysis leaders through the Finance Project Control Group to communicate business planning standards and gather feedback.
• Oversee the business plan governance process, ensuring requirements are coordinated, submissions comply with obligations, and deliverables are prepared in accordance with committee and stage gate requirements.

General Responsibilities and Stakeholder Management

• Lead the implementation of a comprehensive framework of policies and procedures for the Business Planning function, establishing a system for monitoring and improvement, and driving industry-leading practices.
• Support the Business Planning Lead in engagements, fostering open communication and accountability among key stakeholders.
• Lead initiatives for continuous improvement of Business Planning function systems, processes, and practices within the Qiddiya environment.
• Support the preparation of accurate and timely reporting for the Business Planning function, ensuring reports meet Qiddiya's needs and standards.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in business planning, financial analysis, or a related field. The role requires a strong understanding of business planning processes, financial modeling, and governance frameworks.
