Director of Facilities Management

About the Role

MOBCO Group is seeking a highly experienced Director of Facilities Management to lead its Facilities Management (FM) operations in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires an engineering background and a proven ability to drive business growth and secure major contracts, particularly within mega projects and with major clients.

Role Purpose and Context

The Director of Facilities Management will be responsible for the strategic development and operational performance of the FM division. This includes identifying and securing new business opportunities across various sectors and leveraging established relationships to generate new contracts. The role involves leading client engagement from prequalification through contract acquisition and overseeing integrated FM operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development and operational performance of the Facilities Management division.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities across government, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, and infrastructure sectors.
• Leverage established relationships with major developers, government entities, consultants, and asset owners to generate business.
• Lead client engagement, prequalification, tendering, proposals, negotiations, and contract acquisition.
• Oversee integrated FM operations, including MEP, maintenance, asset management, and service delivery.
• Ensure profitability, cost control, contract compliance, and achievement of operational KPIs.
• Build and lead a high-performing FM team and establish effective service delivery standards.
• Represent the company in strategic client meetings and business development activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or a related discipline).
• 25+ years of progressive experience in Facilities Management, Engineering Operations, or related fields.
• Proven experience in senior leadership roles within major FM, construction, or integrated services organizations.
• Strong track record of bringing new business and securing major FM contracts.
• Experience managing mega projects, large-scale facilities, and complex client portfolios.
• Established relationships with major developers, government entities, consultants, and strategic clients in Saudi Arabia or the GCC.
• Strong knowledge of integrated FM services, commercial management, P&L, and contract governance.

Required Skills

• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent command of English; Arabic is an advantage.

Work Type and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring over 10 years of relevant experience.
