The Role: Instrumentation Engineer

Riyadh Cables Group is seeking a dedicated Instrumentation Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is crucial for ensuring the process safety, reliability, and efficiency of operations through expert management of instrumentation and control systems. The role involves supporting both project execution and operational performance by maintaining accurate measurement and control of critical process variables such as pressure, temperature, flow, and level.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and specify instrumentation and control systems for new installations or upgrades.
• Select appropriate instruments and control devices based on process requirements and industry standards.
• Perform calibration and configuration of various instruments, including transmitters, sensors, control valves, and analyzers.
• Develop and maintain essential documentation such as instrument loop diagrams, datasheets, and P&IDs.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation issues and conduct root cause analysis for recurring problems to implement effective solutions.
• Ensure strict compliance with industry standards (*, ISA, IEC) and all relevant safety regulations.
• Support the integration, configuration, and modification of PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
• Coordinate effectively with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, process, and automation departments, for project and maintenance activities.
• Manage third-party contractors or vendors for specialized instrumentation services or commissioning tasks.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of all calibration records, test reports, and preventive maintenance activities.
• Assist in project commissioning and startup phases related to instrumentation systems.
• Ensure that process control strategies are consistently aligned with production targets and safety goals.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will be an Engineer with a relevant background in instrumentation or control systems. This role requires 2 to 5 years of experience in a related field, demonstrating a strong understanding of instrumentation principles, control systems, and troubleshooting methodologies.
