Junior Civil Engineer

About the Role

IDOM Consulting, Engineering, Architecture is seeking a Junior Civil Engineer to join its Industry & Energy Division. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires 0-1 years of experience in engineering design roles, specifically within industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

The Junior Civil Engineer will be responsible for the following:

• Developing CSA projects, covering Basic Design and Detail Design, with familiarity with NEON standards.
• Performing civil and structural calculations, including:
  • Applying knowledge of local and international codes.
  • Designing steel and concrete structures for industrial plants.
  • Conducting design, analysis, and calculations for foundations of buildings and equipment.
  • Utilizing structural design software packages, with a preference for SAP 2000.
  • Applying geotechnical knowledge.
• Supporting business growth across various functions.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates should meet the following criteria:

• 0-1 years of experience in Civil and Structural Engineering design roles.
• Mandatory experience in industrial projects from an engineering/design perspective.
• Based in Riyadh, with a willingness to undertake business trips.
• Ability to work effectively in a multinational environment.

Additional Considerations

The following are considered advantageous:

• An IELTS score of or equivalent.
• Willingness to travel both within Saudi Arabia and internationally.
