About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a Manager (FIDIC) to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh. This full-time role involves managing and administering contracts in support of the FIDIC Engineer across the Master Development Unit Projects portfolio, requiring a minimum of 10 years of experience in contract administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the administration of FIDIC-based contracts, including Red, Yellow, and Silver Books, along with Client-specific conditions.
  • Support the implementation of contract management procedures, governance requirements, and reporting standards across the portfolio.
  • Provide contractual advice and support to the Client, FIDIC Engineer, Delivery Partner, and project teams.
  • Administer contracts throughout their lifecycle, including execution, notices, instructions, variations, amendments, and close-out.
  • Review and prepare contractual correspondence, notices, instructions, determinations, recommendations, and certifications.
  • Monitor Employer and Contractor obligations, maintaining records of compliance, deliverables, and key contractual dates.
  • Administer and evaluate variations, claims, payments, extensions of time, and final accounts.
  • Identify, assess, and support the negotiation and resolution of Contractor claims and Employer entitlements.
  • Coordinate the preparation of contractual position papers, entitlement assessments, delay analyses, and supporting documentation.
  • Maintain contract registers, claims logs, variation logs, risk registers, and other contract management records.
  • Monitor contractual and commercial risks, escalating potential issues to the Senior Contracts Manager and project leadership.
  • Collaborate with Project Controls, Commercial, Cost, and Planning teams to align schedule, cost, risk, and change information with contractual requirements.
  • Support the assessment of extensions of time, acceleration, delay, disruption, liquidated damages, and other schedule-related contractual matters.
  • Review payment applications, progress valuations, and supporting records for contract compliance.
  • Support controls to prevent overpayment, unsupported claims, and unauthorized commitments.
  • Maintain effective communication with the Client, Contractors, consultants, and other project stakeholders on contractual and commercial matters.
  • Prepare regular contract management reports, dashboards, and updates for project and portfolio reviews.
  • Participate in progress meetings, commercial reviews, governance meetings, and claims discussions.
  • Support contract close-out, including final accounts, release of retention, warranties, guarantees, and outstanding claims.
  • Contribute to the development of contract management procedures, lessons learned, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support to Contract Administrators and junior contracts personnel.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in contract administration, contracts management, or commercial management.
  • Experience working on major infrastructure, mixed-use development, or large-scale construction programs.
  • Strong experience administering FIDIC-based contracts within an Engineer, PMC, Delivery Partner, contractor, or consultancy environment.
  • Membership of a relevant professional body, such as RICS, CIArb, CIOB, or an equivalent organization, is desirable.

Required Skills

  • Good knowledge of FIDIC contract forms, conditions of contract, and bespoke amendments.
  • Proven experience managing variations, claims, extensions of time, payment applications, and final accounts.
  • Working knowledge of delay analysis, disruption, quantum assessment, and contractual entitlement.
  • Good understanding of contract administration, procurement, commercial management, and financial controls.
  • Familiarity with project controls, including schedule, cost, risk, and change management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear contractual correspondence and reports.
  • Effective negotiation, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and record-keeping skills.
  • High standards of integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
  • Proficiency in contract management systems, Microsoft Office, and reporting tools.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, within a professional project delivery environment.
