About the Role

The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, *** is seeking a full-time Manager for In-Room Dining in Riyadh. This entry-level management position is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Room Service department, ensuring efficient delivery of food and beverages to guestrooms and hospitality suites.

Core Responsibilities

The Manager, In-Room Dining will direct, train, and assist employees to uphold service standards. Key responsibilities include managing day-to-day operations, supervising staff, and ensuring compliance with all departmental policies and procedures. This role involves maintaining optimal staffing levels to meet guest service and operational needs, while also contributing to the achievement of financial objectives by managing controllable expenses and adhering to operating budgets.

Team Leadership and Development

This position requires leading and influencing the Room Service team through effective communication and interpersonal skills. The manager will foster a collaborative environment, build mutual trust, and serve as a role model for appropriate behaviors. Responsibilities include setting performance standards, providing guidance and feedback, developing goals, and ensuring employee productivity. Regular communication with team members regarding business objectives, performance expectations, and recognition of contributions is essential. The manager will also identify developmental needs of staff and support training programs.

Guest Experience and Service Excellence

A primary focus of this role is ensuring exceptional customer service that exceeds guest expectations. The manager will empower employees to deliver outstanding service, interact with guests to gather feedback on product quality and service levels, and address guest problems and complaints effectively. Continuous improvement in service performance will be emphasized during departmental meetings, and the manager will set a positive example for guest relations.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED with 4 years of experience in the food and beverage, culinary, or related professional area. Alternatively, a 2-year degree from an accredited university in Food Service Management, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related major, coupled with 2 years of relevant experience, will be considered. The required experience level for this role is between 2-5 years.

Additional Duties

The Manager, In-Room Dining will also be involved in analyzing information, evaluating results to solve problems, and recognizing quality products and presentations. This role supports other food and beverage/culinary outlets when needed, strengthening the overall team.
