The Role of Project Director

KEO International Consultants is seeking a Project Director to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves providing overall leadership and strategic direction for project delivery, ensuring alignment with client objectives, project requirements, and KEO standards. The Project Director will serve as the senior point of contact for clients and key stakeholders, managing multidisciplinary project teams and overseeing all aspects of project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for project delivery, ensuring alignment with client objectives and KEO standards.
• Act as the senior point of contact for clients and key project stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and effective communication.
• Lead and manage multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring coordination, collaboration, and accountability.
• Establish and maintain project delivery strategies, governance structures, processes, and performance standards.
• Oversee project program, budget, resources, procurement, commercial performance, and overall delivery.
• Monitor project progress against approved program, budget, scope, and quality requirements, identifying risks and implementing mitigation measures.
• Provide strategic oversight of design development, technical coordination, construction activities, and project interfaces.
• Ensure effective coordination among the client, consultants, contractors, authorities, and other project stakeholders.
• Lead project meetings and provide clear direction on critical project matters, decisions, and actions.
• Manage project risks, opportunities, changes, and complex issues, ensuring timely resolution.
• Oversee project controls, reporting, document control, change management, and governance requirements.
• Review and monitor contractor and consultant performance to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
• Support the management of variations, claims, commercial issues, and contractual matters.
• Ensure health, safety, quality, environmental, and sustainability requirements are maintained throughout the project.
• Provide regular senior-level reporting to the client and KEO management on project progress, program, cost, risks, and key decisions.
• Develop and implement recovery strategies for projects at risk of delay, cost overrun, or underperformance.
• Mentor and develop project leadership teams, fostering a high-performance working environment.
• Represent KEO at senior-level meetings with clients, contractors, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with KEO policies, procedures, quality standards, and applicable Saudi Arabian regulations.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 20 years of relevant professional experience in PMCM, Project Management, or related consulting environments.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
• A Master's degree or MBA is preferred.
• Professional Registration such as PMP, PMI-PgMP, Chartered Engineer (CEng), or an equivalent recognized professional qualification.
