About the Role

Leshines is seeking a Software Operations Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to a large-scale smart warehouse project, focusing on multi-system software Operations & Maintenance (O&M). The successful candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience and will operate at the intersection of warehouse automation, industrial gateways, and cross-vendor system integration, collaborating with hardware engineers, equipment suppliers, and third-party vendors to ensure continuous stable operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain daily operations of Lenovo business systems, self-developed industrial gateways, WES/WCS warehouse systems, and AGV dispatching systems.
• Liaise with OEM technical teams (Lenovo, WCS, AGV vendors) to troubleshoot cross-system interface issues, data transmission failures, task dispatching errors, and business process blockages.
• Support system version upgrades, on-site validation, and gather user requirements for continuous product improvement.
• Collaborate with network and hardware engineers to diagnose software communication failures across servers, switches, wireless networks, and automation equipment.
• Identify root causes across software logic, data anomalies, network links, and hardware defects, driving issue resolution and producing post-mortem reports for AGV/automation equipment failures.
• Assist with routine Windows/Linux server health checks, log analysis, and data backup validation, monitoring HA status and handling system crashes and service startup failures at the software level.
• Ensure scheduled backups and backup integrity checks for all warehouse systems, maintaining logs for compliance.
• Resolve software issues for warehouse PCs, PDAs, scanning terminals, and production line devices (*, EWM/WES login errors, printing failures).
• Handle terminal software deployment, permission configuration, and network onboarding for new devices.
• Maintain system interface inventories, software version logs, troubleshooting records, SOPs, system topology diagrams, interface mapping tables, and configuration documents.
• Provide 7x8 on-site standby support for production line software failures, escalating critical issues to Level-2 support teams in China and coordinating with network/hardware teams for joint resolution.
• Standardize O&M procedures for third-party vendors and conduct regular status synchronization.

Required Qualifications

• Willingness to relocate long-term to Saudi Arabia and adapt to on-site emergency response schedules.
• Demonstrated strong problem-solving mindset and ability to coordinate across multiple vendors and functions.
• Capability to quickly learn and master complex multi-system architectures.
• Detail-oriented, disciplined in documentation, resilient under pressure, and safety-conscious in industrial environments.

Project Context and Professional Development

This role offers involvement in a large-scale overseas smart warehouse project, which includes cross-vendor digital system implementation in automation and IT. Technical support is provided by a Level-2 software expert team based in China, complemented by structured onboarding and hands-on mentoring. The position facilitates development in software O&M expertise alongside knowledge in hardware and networking. Potential career progression paths include roles as a local DTIT lead or a software Operations/Product specialist.

Work Environment

The role requires on-site presence and involves providing standby support for production line software failures to ensure rapid recovery. It necessitates close coordination with various teams, including network, hardware, and Level-2 support teams in China, to facilitate joint resolution of critical issues and standardize O&M procedures with third-party vendors.
