About the Strategic Partnerships Specialist Role

Arabian Oud, the largest Middle Eastern fragrance house established in 1982, is seeking a Strategic Partnerships Specialist for its Riyadh office. With over 1200 stores globally and a diverse product range, the company focuses on formulating distinctive fragrances. This full-time role is crucial for developing and managing strategic partnerships to drive the company’s commercial growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities in Partnerships and Business Development

The Strategic Partnerships Specialist will be responsible for achieving approved monthly and annual sales targets through strategic partnerships. This involves identifying and cultivating new opportunities with government entities, semi-government organizations, major corporations, and other relevant sectors. The role requires conducting meetings and field visits to present Arabian Oud's offerings, analyzing partner and client needs to convert them into actionable commercial opportunities, and preparing tailored proposals, commercial offers, and collaboration concepts. A key aspect is following up on these opportunities to secure confirmed sales and business outcomes.

Commercial Coordination and Account Management

This position entails negotiating with clients and partners within established authority limits, escalating matters as needed. The specialist will ensure compliance with approved pricing, discounts, timelines, quantities, and service standards for agreements and contracts. Support will be provided for the execution of joint campaigns, initiatives, and partnership activities, with a focus on monitoring their commercial impact. Additionally, the role involves resolving operational and commercial issues with partners and suppliers to maintain effective business relationships.

Supplier and Operational Coordination

Coordination with suppliers is a key function, covering aspects such as samples, products, packaging, designs, and pricing, as well as ensuring execution readiness. The specialist will follow up with suppliers to confirm adherence to quality standards, timely delivery, and specific execution requirements.

Reporting and Representation

The role requires professional representation of the company at meetings, exhibitions, and partnership-related events. Regular reports on opportunities, client visits, partnership progress, and sales activities are to be prepared and submitted. Accurate documentation and weekly updates to the direct manager are also essential. Any other duties assigned within the scope of the role will be undertaken.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or a related field. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Strategic Partnerships, Business Development, Sales, or Account Management is required. Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills are essential, alongside a commercial mindset and robust business development capabilities. The ability to effectively manage multiple partnerships and stakeholders, coupled with strong coordination and follow-up skills, is also necessary.
