Fortinet, a cybersecurity pioneer with over two decades of experience, is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role contributes to the success of a rapidly growing business by providing exceptional customer service. The position focuses on supporting Fortinet's loyal customers while fostering strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.

Role Overview

The Technical Support Engineer will play a key role in Fortinet's mission to safeguard people, devices, and data everywhere. This position offers an environment to expand knowledge and develop skills in network security within an innovative and fast-paced setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and solutions to customers across various regions.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support to customers in the SAARC, ME, and EMEA regions via phone and web-based systems.
Analyze and investigate reported customer problems, delivering solutions through debugging, packet captures, and traffic flow analysis. This may include reproducing complex network setups in a lab environment.
Report product issues to engineering and development teams and follow up on their resolution.
Manage technical cases, recommending corrective actions based on thorough troubleshooting and analysis.
Conduct real-time phone or remote access sessions with customers.
Develop and maintain core competency in Fortinet’s product line and technologies.

Qualifications and Experience

A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Six or more years of experience in the computer networking or security industry.
Strong knowledge of Firewall and network security principles.
A solid understanding of data networking protocols, including TCP/IP, routing, and switching fundamentals.
Demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across various OSI layer protocols.
Hands-on experience with IPsec, SSL, SD-WAN, authentication, WAF, VoIP, hardware redundancy, and dynamic routing protocols.
Working knowledge of Linux OS, virtualization technologies, and cloud computing.
Experience in Python or a similar programming language is considered an advantage.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate clearly, listen attentively, and respond effectively in diverse situations.
