The Underwriting Officer Role

Al Jadara Al Alamia Brokerage is seeking an Underwriting Officer to join its team in Riyadh. This is a full-time position focused on evaluating insurance requests, assessing risks, and managing policy issuance and renewal. The role is central to ensuring clients receive optimal terms and coverage while adhering to company policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive and evaluate insurance requests submitted by clients.
• Prepare comprehensive risk assessment reports to inform underwriting decisions.
• Negotiate with insurance companies to secure optimal terms and coverage for clients.
• Follow up on client pricing requests to ensure timely responses.
• Issue and renew insurance policies in strict accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Prepare periodic reports for management, including performance metrics and risk analysis.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Insurance, or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of professional experience within the insurance industry.
• Possession of the Insurance Foundation Certificate Examination (IFCE).

Required Skills and Knowledge

• In-depth knowledge of insurance terms and underwriting principles.
• Strong analytical skills with the capacity to make informed decisions.
• Effective negotiation and communication skills.
• Proficiency in relevant computer programs and document management systems.
• Ability to communicate fluently in English.
