Verification and Validation Engineer

About the Role

Airbus is seeking a Verification and Validation Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This contract role involves contributing to the system verification and validation of a large security system, both during and after its deployment. The position also encompasses managing the customer acceptance process.

Role Context and Reporting

The Verification and Validation Engineer will report directly to the Chief Engineer and the Head of Engineering. The role is based in Riyadh and requires frequent travel to various locations within Saudi Arabia. Occasional international travel is also expected as part of the responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Actively participate in verification activities within development teams and drive the verification and release of software features and releases.
• Support test campaigns for customer acceptance events.
• Assist other V&V engineers in expanding their domain knowledge.
• Prepare test documentation, including test procedures, problem reports, and test reports, during test campaigns and conduct reviews of this documentation.
• Perform system-level verification and validation activities for system/customer releases and dedicated test campaigns such as load, stress, and performance tests.
• Utilize various tools and methods for V&V tasks, including DOORS, Jira, and Quality Center.
• Report problems, including the collection of material to support root-cause analysis.
• Track bugs and perform retesting of fixed issues, collaborating closely with the involved development team.

Required Experience and Skills

• Experience working effectively within a team of V&V Engineers.
• Ability to act self-sustained while also functioning as a team player and team lead.
• A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience is required for this position.
