Faculty Positions in Information Systems and Operations Management

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran is seeking qualified Saudi candidates for full-time faculty positions as Assistant, Associate, or Full Professors. These roles are within the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management at the KFUPM Business School, which has held AACSB accreditation since 2002. The successful candidates will contribute to both research and teaching across all branches of Information Systems and Operations Management.

Role and Responsibilities

Faculty members are expected to dedicate approximately 35-40 hours per week to professional duties. Key responsibilities for this position include:

• Delivering teaching duties in relevant subjects.
• Conducting impactful research within the field.
• Providing academic advising to students.
• Performing administrative duties as required by the department.
• Undertaking any other academic duties assigned by the concerned academic department.

Desired Areas of Specialization

The department is particularly interested in candidates demonstrating expertise in the following areas:

• Information Systems: Systems Analysis and Design, Database Management Systems, Management Support Systems (DSS, ES, EIS, AI, ANN, etc.), E-Commerce, Internet Technologies and Web Applications, Information Resources Management.
• Operations Management.

Candidate Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following qualifications to be considered for these faculty positions:

• An earned ** degree from a reputable university in Information Systems, Operations Management, or a closely related field.
• Completion of full-time bachelor’s and master’s degrees with very good academic grades.
• Certificate equivalency is required for degrees obtained from institutions outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Fluency in English is mandatory, as it is the primary medium of instruction at King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.
