Faculty Position in Information Systems and Operations Management

King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals (KFUPM) invites applications for full-time faculty positions within the Department of Information Systems and Operations Management at the KFUPM Business School. Located in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, the Business School has held AACSB accreditation since 2002. We are seeking qualified Saudi candidates for roles at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor level.

Key Areas of Specialization

The successful candidates will contribute to research and teaching across all branches of Information Systems and Operations Management. Specific areas of focus within Information Systems include:

• Systems Analysis and Design
• Database Management Systems
• Management Support Systems (DSS, ES, EIS, AI, ANN, etc.)
• E-Commerce
• Internet Technologies and Web Applications
• Information Resources Management

Expertise in Operations Management is also a key area of interest for these positions.

Core Responsibilities

Faculty members are expected to dedicate approximately 35-40 hours per week to professional duties. Key responsibilities include:

• Carrying out teaching duties
• Conducting research
• Providing academic advising
• Performing administrative duties
• Undertaking any other academic duties assigned by the academic department concerned

Required Academic Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following academic criteria:

• An earned ** degree from a reputable university in the relevant field.
• Full-time bachelor’s and master’s degrees with very good grades.
• Certificate equivalency if the certificate was obtained from outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Language Proficiency

Fluency in English is a mandatory requirement for all faculty positions, as English serves as the sole medium of instruction throughout King Fahd University of Petroleum & Minerals.
