Community Engagement and Events Specialist

About the Role

Dhahran Techno Valley is seeking a Community Engagement and Events Specialist to join its team in Dhahran, Eastern Region. This full-time role involves fostering relationships between Dhahran Techno Valley (DTV) tenants and the broader innovation and entrepreneurship community, as well as planning and executing impactful events. The Specialist will develop and implement strategies to engage community members, build trust, and showcase the Innovation District's activities and achievements through well-organized events.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive community engagement strategy aligned with the Innovation District's goals.
• Identify key community stakeholders and create tailored engagement plans for each group.
• Organize and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and information sessions to provide updates, gather feedback, and build relationships.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for community members and organizations, building and maintaining strong relationships with local residents, leaders, businesses, and organizations.
• Plan, organize, and execute a variety of events, including community open houses, workshops, seminars, networking events, innovation showcases, and celebrations.
• Develop event budgets, timelines, and logistics plans, ensuring effective delivery within budget.
• Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and external partners for seamless event execution, managing registration, promotion, and on-site logistics.
• Develop and implement community-focused programs and initiatives, including educational outreach and local business showcases.
• Collaborate with local organizations and institutions to create joint events and initiatives.
• Develop and disseminate clear information about the Innovation District's activities and events through various channels.
• Create promotional materials for events to maximize community participation.
• Identify and cultivate partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and educational institutions to support engagement and event initiatives.
• Work with partners to sponsor or co-host events and leverage their networks and resources.
• Establish mechanisms for gathering community feedback on engagement activities and events.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of initiatives and events, making recommendations for improvement.
• Maintain records of community engagement activities, partnerships, feedback, event plans, budgets, and outcomes.
• Prepare regular reports on community engagement and event efforts for management.

Experience Required

Candidates should have 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field. The role requires a dynamic and organized individual capable of working closely with various stakeholders, including residents, local businesses, community organizations, educational institutions, and internal teams.

The Specialist will work within the Dhahran Techno Valley Innovation District, contributing to a vibrant and inclusive environment that benefits both the district and the surrounding community. This is a full-time position based in Dhahran.
