About the Opportunity

The Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISE) at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM) in Dhahran is inviting applications for multiple full-time faculty positions. These roles are available across all academic ranks: assistant professor, associate professor, and full professor. KFUPM seeks candidates with expertise in Industrial Engineering and related areas, particularly in Production Systems/Supply Chain Management, who are committed to academic excellence.

Role and Responsibilities

Faculty members are expected to contribute significantly to teaching, research, and university service. This includes developing curriculum and supervising students, alongside conducting original research that leads to high-quality publications and secures research grants.

• Demonstrate teaching experience in Industrial Engineering and related areas.
• Contribute to teaching and curriculum development for undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
• Supervise undergraduate and graduate students.
• Demonstrate strong research potential through publications in reputed archival journals.
• Conduct original research within their domain of expertise.
• Play a lead role in research projects, aiming for high-quality publications and research grant income.
• Engage in high-quality teaching and fulfill departmental teaching requirements, including developing lab activities at the undergraduate level.
• Incorporate recent advancements in their area of study into courses.
• Initiate and maintain research activities/projects with faculty members, resulting in peer-reviewed articles in high-impact professional journals.
• Participate actively in department and university service, including program development.
• Adhere to job responsibilities as per Ministry of Civil Service regulations.
