The Role of Purchasing Supervisor

Accor is seeking a Purchasing Supervisor to join its procurement team in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves supporting and overseeing purchasing operations, collaborating with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement. The position requires strong analytical and organizational skills, with a focus on maintaining high standards of procurement excellence and fostering positive vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise procurement activities by obtaining competitive quotations, conducting market surveys, and analyzing pricing to ensure optimal value.
Coordinate with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services, follow up on outstanding orders, and resolve delivery discrepancies.
Assist in vendor negotiations, registration processes, and purchase order management, maintaining transparent communication.
Develop and implement cost-control initiatives and monitor spending to support budget objectives.
Maintain accurate supplier catalogs, inventory records, and comprehensive procurement documentation.
Analyze vendor performance metrics and provide recommendations for continuous improvement and supplier optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand procurement needs and deliver customized solutions.
Prepare detailed reports on purchasing activities, market trends, and vendor performance to support decision-making.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements in Saudi Arabia.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Demonstrated experience in a purchasing or procurement role, with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Strong analytical skills for pricing analysis and vendor performance evaluation.
Exceptional organizational abilities to manage documentation and coordinate deliveries.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of procurement excellence.
Ability to foster positive vendor relationships.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will join a dynamic procurement team and work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
