About the Opportunity

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Medina is seeking an Assistant Consultant, Cardiology. This full-time role involves contributing to patient care within the Cardiology department and providing supervision to junior medical staff, adhering to established hospital policies and medical bylaws.

Role Overview

The Assistant Consultant plays a vital role in delivering comprehensive medical care in the field of Cardiology. This position requires active participation in patient management, consultations, and the oversight of interns and residents, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of medical practice and hospital protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Consultants in providing patient care and management within Cardiology, aligning with hospital medical standards.
• Deliver high-quality patient care across all aspects of Cardiology, consistent with approved clinical privileges.
• Provide timely consultations for inpatients and emergency room cases upon request, within prescribed timeframes.
• Ensure the timely completion, accuracy, and legibility of medical records.
• Participate in on-call service, maintaining availability and response times as per hospital policy.
• Conduct daily morning rounds to identify patients ready for discharge and ensure discharge orders are written 24 hours prior.
• Perform other clinical responsibilities related to the Cardiology specialty as assigned.

Professional Development and Supervision

• Provide orientation, bedside training, and supervision to interns, residents, and fellows.
• Actively participate in the department's educational activities and training programs.
• Engage in national and international medical conferences to stay current with advancements.
• Maintain and enhance professional knowledge through continuing education requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess relevant medical qualifications in Cardiology and demonstrate 2-5 years of experience in a related clinical setting. The ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and adhere to strict medical guidelines is essential.
