About the Role

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Manager for Loss Prevention to oversee the protection of property assets, employees, and guests in Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah, specifically in Medina. This full-time position requires a professional dedicated to ensuring guest and employee satisfaction while meeting operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

The Manager-Loss Prevention will manage the daily functions of the department to ensure comprehensive protection of the property. This includes:

  • Assisting in the administration of fire prevention programs and emergency preparedness.
  • Conducting hazard and risk assessments, including safety audits, incident tracking, and hazard abatement.
  • Developing detailed shutdown procedures to ensure property security.
  • Ensuring compliance with applicable laws and safety regulations.
  • Maintaining proper key control guidelines.
  • Developing and executing monthly checklists for CCTV, alarmed doors, and duress alarms to ensure functionality.
  • Incorporating inspections of recording systems into regular property patrols.
  • Following the Duty of Care process for guest and employee protection.
  • Investigating and following up on unusual activities that could impact guest or employee well-being.
  • Handling complaints, settling disputes, and resolving grievances.
  • Implementing action plans to monitor and control risk.
  • Overseeing all loss prevention operations, including patrols, emergency response, investigations, shipping and receiving processes, and electronic key systems.
  • Guiding the efforts of the Accident Prevention Committee.
  • Overseeing the first aid program for guests and employees.
  • Managing the claims process and protecting company assets by monitoring General Liability and Worker's Compensation cases.
  • Communicating the importance of safety procedures and ensuring employee understanding.
  • Fostering teamwork and collaboration with other departments.
  • Providing personal assistance and support to guests and employees.
  • Serving as a role model for appropriate professional behaviors.
  • Utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to lead and influence others, advocating sound financial and business decisions with honesty and integrity.

Ensuring Service Excellence

This role is committed to meeting and exceeding quality standards and customer expectations daily. It involves identifying educational needs, developing training programs, and instructing others. The position requires inspecting and critiquing the performance of the loss prevention department to maintain high levels of professionalism and customer service, providing services that go above and beyond for customer satisfaction and retention.

Additional Duties

Additional responsibilities include analyzing information to solve problems, developing liaison with local law enforcement and emergency services, and keeping executives and peers informed of relevant information in a timely manner through various communication channels.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of experience in loss prevention or a related field. A strong understanding of safety regulations, risk assessment, and emergency preparedness is essential.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Medina, Al-Madinah Al-Munawarah, within the Sheraton Hotels & Resorts portfolio. The role requires a proactive approach to maintaining a secure and safe environment for all guests and employees.
