About the Role at Salla

Salla is seeking an Accountant to join its Finance team. This full-time position supports the company's financial operations and reporting processes as Salla continues its expansion as a leading e-commerce platform in the MENA region.

Key Responsibilities

The Accountant will perform a range of accounting activities essential for accurate financial management. Key duties include:

• Managing accounting tasks related to fixed assets, including recording, tracking, and maintaining asset records.
• Processing and managing prepaid expenses, ensuring correct allocation and reconciliation.
• Handling daily operational transactions and ensuring accurate accounting entries.
• Performing account reconciliations and investigating any identified discrepancies.
• Supporting month-end closing procedures by preparing necessary schedules, entries, and documentation.
• Maintaining precise financial records in compliance with established accounting policies and procedures.
• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and analyses as required.

Required Qualifications

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• 0–3 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• A foundational understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
• Practical experience with account reconciliations, journal entries, and transaction processing.
• Familiarity with fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and month-end closing activities, either through experience or academic study.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, data analysis, and reporting capabilities.
