About the ACES Manager Role

Amazon is seeking an experienced ACES Manager to join a newly formed organization focused on designing and launching new business models across the MENA region. This full-time role is based in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and is instrumental in redefining ultra-fast grocery operations for Amazon Now. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to the growth of a new service and shape the future of online retail.

Role Overview and Mission

The overarching mission of Amazon is to be the premier online destination where customers can find, discover, and purchase anything. This role is central to achieving that mission by enabling people to discover new worlds and implement innovation. As an ACES Manager, you will be a key leader in driving improvements for Amazon customers within ultra-fast grocery last-mile operations. Your focus will be on standardization efforts, acting as a liaison with other departments, and providing process expertise for both the "under the roof" operations and last-mile stations.

Key Responsibilities

As a critical link between local operations and country business teams, you will drive innovation, test new concepts, and ensure adherence to safety best practices. Your focus will encompass six key areas: Safety, People, Quality, Customer Experience, Productivity, Costs, and Environment.

  • Support project execution across multiple functions within the organization.
  • Amicably resolve issues arising from discussions between various functions.
  • Hold respective functions accountable for their deliverables.
  • Partner with other countries to implement and share best practices.
  • Maintain Health and Safety standards and promote a positive safety culture on-site.
  • Provide operational leadership through performance measurement, feedback, and development support.

  • Engage in strategic planning for the next three, six, and twelve months, with a focus on peak-season planning.
  • Prepare and articulate leadership updates, including Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
  • Establish objectives and metrics for safety, quality, productivity, and customer experience.
  • Equip your team with necessary tools for success and drive improvements in productivity and efficiency through data-driven decisions and analytical problem-solving.

Operational Focus Areas

Program Managers in this area are dedicated to leading last-mile improvements for Amazon customers. This includes driving standardization efforts, serving as liaisons with other departments, and providing process expertise for ultra-fast grocery operations within facilities and last-mile stations.
