About the Banquet Supervisor Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts is seeking a Banquet Supervisor to join their team in Makkah. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and will involve overseeing banquet operations to ensure exceptional guest service and efficient team performance. The role is based in the Makkah region, with potential involvement in operations in both Jeddah and Makkah.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure seamless teamwork among banquet staff, inspecting grooming and attire to maintain professional standards.
• Communicate effectively with guests, employees, and other departments to meet guest needs and fulfill special event arrangements.
• Oversee the setup of banquet areas, ensuring cleanliness and proper arrangement of furniture and equipment.
• Inspect table setups for cleanliness, neatness, and adherence to group requirements and company standards, resolving any issues promptly.
• Document pertinent information in the appropriate department logbook.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of employees.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships and support team goals.
• Adhere to all company policies and safety and security procedures, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, and completing required safety training.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, protect company assets, and ensure the confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, and answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Employees must be able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance, and objects weighing in excess of 75 pounds with assistance. Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination are necessary for manipulating objects. The work may involve moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and service ramps. Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, is also required. Employees are expected to perform other reasonable job duties as requested.

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of 5-10 years of related work experience is required.
• A high school diploma or *** equivalent is preferred.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience is required.

Company Standards and Procedures

Candidates must be able to read and visually verify information in various formats. Adherence to all company and safety and security policies and procedures is mandatory. This includes reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions, and completing all required safety training and certifications.
