About the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager Role
Alesayi Distribution (ADC) is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to establish and lead its Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) capability. This full-time position is based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and requires 5-10 years of relevant experience. The role is critical in transforming ADC's finance structure from an accounting-oriented function to a strategic business partner, driving robust financial planning, analysis, and decision-making.
Strategic Impact and Business Partnership
This role is central to ADC's transformation from a beverage-distribution arm into an integrated, third-party FMCG distribution platform. The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will act as a commercial finance business partner to the Commercial, Business Development, and Supply Chain teams. This involves translating ADC’s third-party distribution growth strategy into robust financial plans, conducting margin analysis, and supporting investment decisions. The position also provides the analytical foundation for sales, margin, trade spend, and profitability analysis, while supporting executive and Board-level reporting, KPI governance, and scenario planning aligned with AHC Group’s financial aspirations for ADC, including the target to double revenue to SAR Billion by FY30.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of ADC’s annual budgeting process across all business units, channels, and branches.
- Manage the rolling forecast process, ensuring timely updates that reflect current commercial, supply chain, and market conditions.
- Develop ADC’s long-range financial plan in alignment with AHC Group’s five-year financial aspirations.
- Build and maintain robust financial models to evaluate business scenarios, growth initiatives, and principal (brand) partnership opportunities.
- Partner with Commercial, Business Development, and Supply Chain teams to evaluate financial implications of new principal onboarding, channel expansion, go-to-market initiatives, demand planning, inventory investment, and cost-to-serve initiatives.
- Conduct detailed sales, gross margin, pricing, customer, product, and branch profitability analysis to identify drivers, risks, and support strategic decisions.
- Evaluate trade investment spend and promotional activities, measuring and reporting ROI to guide future investment decisions.
- Monitor and optimize working capital, including inventory investment, receivables, and payables, in coordination with relevant teams.
- Develop and maintain rolling cash flow forecasts to support treasury planning and liquidity management.
- Evaluate capital investment proposals (*, fleet, warehousing, technology) and provide recommendations supporting ADC’s operating model redesign.
- Prepare and deliver monthly management reporting packs, executive, and Board-level reporting materials, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with AHC Group standards.
- Design and govern ADC’s KPI framework, ensuring relevance, measurability, and consistent tracking across functions.
- Develop and maintain financial dashboards leveraging business intelligence tools to improve visibility and decision-making speed.
- Identify and lead financial systems and process improvement initiatives to reduce manual reporting effort and improve data reliability.
- Provide financial inputs to ADC’s S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) cycle, ensuring visibility of financial implications for demand and supply plans.
- Conduct financial risk assessments across commercial and operational activities, flagging risks and proposing mitigations to Finance leadership.
- Support ADC’s Delegation of Authority framework by ensuring financial evaluation and business case rigor for decisions requiring management or Board approval.
- Lead continuous improvement of FP&A processes, tools, and reporting standards, contributing to ADC’s broader operating model redesign and digital scale-up.
Performance Indicators
Success in this role will be measured by key performance indicators, including:
- Budget accuracy (variance %) at the consolidated ADC level, tracked monthly/quarterly.
- Rolling forecast accuracy by SKU family, channel, and branch.
- On-time delivery and quality of monthly management reporting packs, executive, and Board-level reporting packages.
- Contribution to gross margin improvement through pricing, mix, and trade spend analysis.
- Improvement in trade spend / promotional ROI across the principal portfolio.
- Optimization of working capital days (inventory, receivables, payables).
- Accuracy of cash flow forecasts.
- Turnaround time and quality of business cases / investment evaluations supporting Commercial and Supply Chain decisions.
- Adoption and usage of FP&A dashboards by Commercial, Supply Chain, and the General Manager.
- Stakeholder satisfaction (Commercial, Supply Chain, General Manager, AHC Group Finance) with FP&A business partnering support.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within a distribution or FMCG environment.
- Proven experience in leading the design and implementation of FP&A capabilities, including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial planning.
- Strong analytical skills with expertise in sales, margin, trade spend, and profitability analysis.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain robust financial models and evaluate complex business scenarios.
- Experience in preparing executive and Board-level financial reports and governing KPI frameworks.
- Proficiency in business intelligence tools and financial systems for reporting and process improvement.
