About the Role

DB Engineering & Consulting (DB E&C), a part of the global railway company DB group, is seeking a motivated Graduate Civil Engineer to join its railway infrastructure team in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, entry-level position is designed for recent graduates looking to gain practical experience in railway design, construction, and maintenance projects. The role involves working under the guidance of senior engineers to contribute to the successful delivery of railway infrastructure projects.

Role Context and Company Overview

This role contributes to setting standards in transportation and modern mobility.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the planning, design, and execution of railway civil engineering projects, including tracks, bridges, stations, and drainage systems.
• Support site engineers in monitoring construction activities to ensure adherence to designs, specifications, and safety standards.
• Conduct site inspections and surveys, preparing technical reports and documentation.
• Review engineering drawings, calculations, and material specifications.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including mechanical, electrical, and signaling engineers.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi standards, railway regulations, and international best practices.
• Assist in identifying project risks and proposing corrective actions.
• Monitor project progress and provide updates to project managers.
• Support quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) activities.
• Participate in health, safety, and environmental (HSE) initiatives on site.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
• Fresh graduate or up to 1 year of relevant internship or training experience.
• Saudi National is preferred.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety practices.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills in both English and Arabic.
• Ability to work on-site and travel within project locations across Saudi Arabia.
• Possession of a driving license is required for field work and travel between job sites and the Head Office.

Work Location and Logistics

This position is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Candidates must be based in or willing to relocate to Jeddah. The role requires flexibility for on-site work and potential travel to various project locations within the Kingdom.
