About the Opportunity

iHR (International Human Resources) is seeking a dedicated Health Safety Environment Engineer to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is essential for supporting the robust implementation and management of occupational health and safety requirements across various projects and field operations within the region.

Role Overview

The Health Safety Environment Engineer plays a critical role in fostering a safe working environment by developing, monitoring, and enforcing HSE standards. This position involves active participation in risk management, incident response, and the continuous improvement of safety protocols within diverse operational settings, including construction and infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) plans.
• Prepare Risk Registers and conduct thorough risk assessments for various operations.
• Review existing HSE plans and Permit to Work (PTW) requirements to ensure compliance.
• Monitor the effectiveness of emergency, evacuation, and incident response plans.
• Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and prepare detailed HSE reports.
• Conduct regular field inspections and ensure timely follow-up on identified hazards.
• Monitor the safety aspects of construction, restoration, excavation, and infrastructure works.
• Review HSE plans and risk assessments for events, including monitoring crowd safety.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive experience as an HSE Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proven track record in supporting the implementation and management of occupational health and safety requirements across projects and field operations.

Work Environment and Type

This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role requires active engagement in various project sites and field operations within the specified region.
