About the Role

Unilever is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to join its team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience to support key business functions and ensure HR practices align with company values and local regulations.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The HR Business Partner will serve as the primary HR representative for Unilever in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, fostering relationships with corporate peers and government entities. This role involves close collaboration with the Head of CBD and Head of Finance to enhance the efficiency of joint venture operations, focusing on governance, workforce planning, reward strategies, culture, and learning initiatives. A key aspect of this position is ensuring strict compliance with local labor laws, thereby safeguarding Unilever's reputation and value.

  • Support the Head of HR Arabia in developing and implementing country-specific HR policies and processes, including those related to employment, benefits, ED&I, university relations, and employee relations.
  • Design and lead employer branding initiatives to attract and retain top talent within the KSA market.
  • Participate in various HR initiatives to execute the Unilever People Plan for supported teams, including CBD and Finance.
  • Serve on the boards of Unilever employing legal entities as required, fulfilling fiduciary duties with a focus on business integrity, safety, health, environment, and workplace standards.
  • Lead crisis management efforts in KSA during emergencies, in partnership with business leaders.
  • Supervise and coach the HR team based in KSA, including those located at the factory.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant HR experience. A strong understanding of local labor laws in Saudi Arabia is essential. The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders is crucial.

Key Competencies

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Expertise in HR policy development and implementation, workforce planning, and talent acquisition is required. The ability to manage complex situations, including crisis management, and to effectively supervise a team is also necessary.

Location and Work Environment
