About the Network Security SME Lead Role

Accenture Security is seeking a passionate and skilled Network Security SME Lead to join its team in Jeddah. This full-time role focuses on pioneering security solutions that integrate risk strategy, digital identity, cyber defense, application security, and managed services, utilizing next-generation technology to stay ahead of cyber threats. Role Overview and Responsibilities

In this position, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and support of network security services. Your primary objective will be to ensure the secure and reliable functioning of the network infrastructure and threat management solutions. This involves hands-on implementation, operation, and design of network security solutions independently.

• Operate enterprise Network Security services, including Firewalls, WAF, API Security, DDoS, IPS, Mail gateway, Proxy, and NAC solutions across on-premise and cloud environments.
• Provide technical and operational leadership to teams managing firewalls, web application security, sandboxing, and threat detection.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying security gaps, optimization opportunities, and underutilized capabilities.
• Ensure network security platforms are patched, upgraded, and operated in line with vendor and organizational standards.
• Support security architecture decisions, audits, compliance activities, and service reporting, acting as an escalation point for stakeholders.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a strong understanding of Information Security with significant operational exposure to network security domains. Proven experience leading network security operations teams within complex enterprise environments is essential. Familiarity with a range of security technologies is required.

• Experience with technologies such as F5, FortiGate, Palo Alto, Cisco Firepower, Arbor, Darktrace, FireEye, Forcepoint, Symantec.
• Strong understanding of NDR, DDoS protection, firewall governance, sandboxing, and web application security across on-premise and cloud platforms.

Essential Skills

In addition to technical expertise, strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are critical for this role. The ability to effectively guide teams and communicate complex security concepts to various stakeholders is paramount.

Advantageous Certifications

Relevant security certifications are considered an advantage. Specific certifications that would be beneficial include:

• Certifications in relevant network security tools such as F5 Certified Administrator or Arbor APS Certification.
• Industry certifications like CISSP, CISM, CCNP Security, PNSCE, NSE4, or NSE7 are highly desirable.
