Senior Engineer Transportation

About the Role

AECOM is seeking a Senior Engineer - Transportation to join our team in Jeddah. This full-time role involves executing specific and moderate portions of broader transportation engineering assignments. The position requires a professional with demonstrated experience in design methodology and project controls, capable of independently managing engineering deliverables from conception through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed engineering assignments, including calculations, testing, and design documentation, with proficiency in design methodology and standards.
• Develop and propose engineering approaches to solve new problems by modifying standard procedures, drawing on design background and project experience.
• Manage project elements in accordance with agreed-upon budget, schedule, and project management controls (PMC) requirements with minimal supervision.
• Independently complete all tasks necessary for primary design elements of engineering works, including design reviews and design documentation.
• Apply project management controls to track progress, identify discrepancies in results, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to entry-level engineers on design methodology, engineering procedures, and project controls best practices.
• Maintain design documentation and project records in compliance with PMC standards and organizational requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in transportation engineering, design, or project management.
• Minimum of 5 years of direct work experience in Saudi Arabia (KSA).
• Demonstrated expertise in transportation engineering design methodology and standards.
• Proven proficiency with project management controls (PMC) systems and tools.
• Strong experience in engineering calculations, testing, and design documentation.
• Solid understanding of budget management, schedule control, and project delivery.
• Experience conducting design reviews and maintaining compliance with engineering standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple engineering deliverables simultaneously.
• Valid Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent engineering credential.
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software and design tools.
