About the Role: Sushi Chef Commis

Top Notch Consultancy is seeking a dedicated Sushi Chef Commis to join a dynamic kitchen team in the Makkah Region of Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is based in either Jeddah or Makkah, offering an opportunity for individuals with 0-1 years of experience to develop their culinary skills in Japanese cuisine within a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Role Overview

The Sushi Chef Commis will work under the guidance of the Head Chef and Sous Chef, contributing to the preparation and presentation of sushi and other Japanese dishes. This role is designed for an aspiring culinary professional eager to learn and grow within a professional kitchen setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of sushi and other Japanese menu items.
• Prepare ingredients through washing, chopping, and measuring as instructed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards.
• Learn and apply proper sushi preparation techniques and presentation standards.
• Support the kitchen team during service to ensure efficient food preparation and delivery.
• Participate in daily kitchen operations, including inventory checks and stock rotation.

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience as a Commis Chef-Sushi or in a similar kitchen support role is preferred.
• 0-1 years of relevant experience is acceptable.
• A foundational understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
