About the Opportunity

MANNING GLOBAL, a leading global staffing and managed services provider specializing in sectors such as ICT, AI, Technology, Digital Media, Engineering, Automotive, and Energy, is recruiting for an experienced Turf Manager. This full-time position is on behalf of one of their top-tier international clients and is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on overseeing the pitch development and maintenance for a premier stadium project, ensuring playing surfaces meet the strict standards of international football under challenging climatic conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the daily care, maintenance, and preparation of the stadium's Paspalum turf.
• Implement specialized irrigation, fertilization, and disease-control programs tailored to the Middle Eastern climate.
• Prepare and execute comprehensive pitch management plans for match days and training sessions.
• Lead and train a local team of ground staff to maintain consistent pitch quality.
• Operate and maintain specialized turf equipment and grow lights.
• Monitor pitch health using data-driven testing for hardness, moisture, and traction.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Paspalum Turf Expertise: Proven hands-on experience managing and maintaining Paspalum grass varieties.
• UK Premier League Experience: Previous experience working on English Premier League (EPL) stadiums is mandatory.
• GCC Experience: Prior experience working in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is desirable.

This role is situated within a high-profile stadium project in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The Turf Manager will be responsible for ensuring elite-level sports pitches are maintained under challenging climatic conditions, adhering to the stringent requirements of international football.
