About the Laundry Supervisor Role

Rixos Hotels is seeking a Laundry Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of the laundry department at its Makkah properties, including locations in King Abdullah Economic City and Makkah. This full-time position requires a candidate with 2-5 years of relevant experience to ensure high standards of quality, productivity, and timely service for guest laundry, uniforms, and hotel linens.

Role Overview

The Laundry Supervisor is responsible for the efficient and effective management of the laundry department. This role ensures that all laundry processes meet the established quality standards of Rixos Hotels, contributing to the overall guest experience and operational smoothness of the hotel. The supervisor will lead a team to achieve departmental goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily laundry operations and manage the performance of laundry team members.
• Assign work schedules and monitor staff performance to ensure productivity.
• Ensure all laundry items are processed according to hotel quality standards.
• Inspect the quality of washed, dried, and pressed items before they are returned to circulation.
• Train and coach laundry employees to enhance their skills and understanding of procedures.
• Monitor chemical usage and maintain accurate inventory levels for laundry supplies.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or issues to the Engineering Department promptly.
• Maintain a high level of cleanliness and safety within the laundry area.
• Ensure compliance with all hotel policies and relevant health and safety procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in hotel laundry operations is required.
• Previous supervisory experience in a similar role is preferred.
• Knowledge of laundry equipment, chemicals, and their proper usage.

Required Skills

• Good communication skills for effective team interaction and reporting.
• Strong leadership abilities to manage and motivate a team.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with Rixos Hotels. The role will involve working at properties located in King Abdullah Economic City and Makkah.
