About the Event Executive Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts is seeking an Event Executive to join their team in Makkah. This full-time position is based in Makkah and Jeddah, offering an opportunity for individuals with 0-1 year of experience to contribute to the hotel's operations and guest services.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

The Event Executive will be responsible for various tasks aimed at ensuring smooth operations and enhancing guest experiences. Key duties include:

  • Updating information boards regularly to communicate important events to employees.
  • Providing assistance and guidance to employees facing challenges with their job duties, such as low sales figures.
  • Assigning incoming sales leads (calls or emails) to Sales Executives based on a rotation system.
  • Creating spreadsheets to organize information pertinent to Sales and Marketing activities, including mailing lists and tour details.
  • Entering, retrieving, reconciling, and verifying information within the sales process software.
  • Contacting relevant individuals or departments to address and resolve guest calls, requests, or issues.
  • Promoting brand awareness both internally and externally.
  • Utilizing sales techniques to maximize revenue while fostering existing guest loyalty to Marriott, including up-selling strategies.
  • Encouraging guests or callers to purchase or schedule preview package sales or tours, and answering inquiries about property facilities and services.

Operational Support and Employee Guidance

This role involves supporting management in various employee-related functions. Responsibilities include assisting with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching. The Event Executive will also serve as a role model and the initial point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process. Reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to management is also a key aspect of this position.

Adherence to Company Standards and Guest Service

Maintaining high standards of service and professionalism is essential. This includes following all company policies and procedures, ensuring a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance, and protecting company assets. The Event Executive is expected to anticipate and address guest service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation to guests. Effective communication is vital, requiring clear and professional speaking, accurate and complete written document preparation and review, and professional telephone etiquette.

Professional Development and Workplace Relations

Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders is a core responsibility. The role requires ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards, and identifying, recommending, developing, and implementing new methods to enhance organizational quality. The ability to read and visually verify information in various formats is also necessary. Physical requirements include the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. Reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors are also part of the role.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience required.
  • License or Certification: None required.
