Food Services Supervisor

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Food Services Supervisor to join their team in Makkah. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and involves overseeing daily food service operations to ensure optimal guest satisfaction and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure staff collaboration for optimum service delivery and guest needs fulfillment.
• Inspect staff grooming and attire, addressing any deficiencies.
• Perform opening and closing duties, including setup, cleaning, and securing premises.
• Monitor storage areas for organization, FIFO adherence, and cleanliness.
• Conduct scheduled inventories and requisition necessary supplies.
• Oversee dining rooms for seating availability, service quality, safety, and guest well-being.
• Submit work orders for maintenance repairs.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Serve as a role model and initial point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies; report incidents and complete required training.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect company assets.
• Welcome guests, anticipate service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.
• Communicate professionally and foster positive working relationships within the team.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and identify opportunities for efficiency, productivity, and cost-savings.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
• Visual inspection of tools, equipment, or machines for defects.
• Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or an entire shift.
• Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Grasping, turning, and manipulating objects requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Navigating narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Moving up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in a food services or supervisory role.
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team and ensure high service standards.
• Strong understanding of safety and security policies and procedures.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
