About the GIS Applications Developer Role

MIS - Al Moammar Information Systems Co. is seeking a skilled GIS Applications Developer to join their team in Makkah, with opportunities in Jeddah and Makkah. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience in developing and maintaining geospatial applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain GIS web applications and geospatial e-services.
• Build interactive web maps and geo-portals.
• Develop tools for GIS data integration, migration, and interoperability.
• Administer and enhance enterprise geospatial platforms.
• Design and develop mobile GIS data collection applications.
• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain GIS software and infrastructure.
• Integrate GIS platforms with enterprise systems through APIs.
• Manage geodatabases and remote sensing datasets.
• Monitor system performance and ensure platform availability.
• Prepare technical documentation and project progress reports.
• Apply quality standards throughout the development lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

• Strong experience with ESRI ArcGIS products and QGIS.
• Experience with geodatabases and spatial data management.
• Knowledge of remote sensing data and GIS data modeling.
• Experience developing Web GIS applications and interactive maps.
• Understanding of GIS integration methods and API development.
• Experience administering GIS platforms and geo-portals.
• Programming experience using Python and Java.
• Knowledge of mobile GIS applications and field data collection.
• Strong understanding of GIS databases and spatial technologies.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Administration of ArcGIS Enterprise, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Pro.
• Experience with ArcGIS Maps SDK for JavaScript, Leaflet, OpenLayers, or Mapbox GL.
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL/PostGIS, Oracle Spatial, or SQL Server Spatial.
• Familiarity with ArcGIS Field Maps, Survey123, or QField.
• Knowledge of ERDAS, ENVI, Google Earth Engine, NetCDF, GRIB, and GeoTIFF.
• Experience with GeoServer, MapServer, OGC Services (WMS, WMTS, WFS, WCS).
• Exposure to FME, Docker, AWS/Azure, and CI/CD practices.
• Esri Technical Certifications are considered an advantage.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position located in Makkah, with potential work assignments in Jeddah and Makkah.
