About the Laundry Supervisor Role

Edition is seeking a Laundry Supervisor to oversee operations in Makkah. This full-time position requires a candidate with 5-10 years of experience in laundry management. The role involves ensuring the efficient and organized operation of the laundry department, supporting hotel operations across Jeddah and Makkah.

Key Responsibilities

• Conducting complete inventories of uniforms and linens.
• Performing monthly inventory checks of laundry supplies.
• Reporting any faulty equipment, maintenance needs, or safety hazards to management.
• Training employees on all laundry procedures, including safety protocols and equipment operation.
• Verifying that laundry requests from all departments are completed as needed.
• Operating and monitoring washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery.
• Inspecting linens and terry for any damage.
• Assisting management with employee hiring, training, scheduling, evaluations, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching.
• Adhering to all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
• Reporting any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Completing required safety training and certifications.
• Ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
• Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.
• Speaking with others using clear and professional language.
• Preparing and reviewing written documents accurately and completely.
• Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others.
• Supporting the team to reach common goals and responding appropriately to employee concerns.
• Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards.
• Identifying, recommending, developing, and implementing new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost-savings.
• Visually inspecting tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.

Physical Requirements

The role requires the ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire work shift. It also involves moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Movement may occur through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, and up and down stairs or service ramps. Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, is also necessary. Performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors is expected.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in laundry operations.
• Maximum of 10 years of experience in laundry operations.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position located in Makkah, serving the cities of Jeddah and Makkah.
