About the Safety & Security Officer Role

Hilton is seeking a dedicated Safety & Security Officer to join our team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are committed to maintaining a secure and safe environment within our premises.

Role Purpose

The Safety & Security Officer serves as the primary point of contact for all safety and security matters, acting as the first line of defense against potential accidents, unauthorized access, and security breaches. This role is crucial for identifying potential security risks, ensuring strict enforcement of company safety policies, and fostering collaboration with local emergency services to maintain a hazard-free environment for guests and staff.

Core Responsibilities

• Monitor surveillance systems, alarms, and all property access points to detect and deter security incidents.
• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to proactively identify potential hazards or security breaches.
• Enforce all safety regulations and company policies, including fire safety protocols and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) compliance.
• Respond promptly and effectively to medical emergencies, accidents, or security threats, and accurately document all incidents through detailed reports.
• Provide training to staff on fundamental safety procedures and emergency evacuation plans to ensure preparedness.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience

• A high school diploma or a bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Occupational Health and Safety, or a closely related field.
• Proven work experience of 0-1 years in a role such as a Safety Officer, Security Guard, or a similar security-focused position.
• Possession of a valid security license or relevant safety certifications (*, OSHA, NEBOSH).

Essential Skills

• Strong observational skills with a keen eye for detail and potential risks.
• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure and emergency situations.
• Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with staff and external services.
• Proficiency in conflict-resolution techniques to manage challenging situations professionally.
