About the Scheduler Specialist Role

Contribution to Project Planning and Control

The Scheduler Specialist plays a central role in project execution by collaborating with Project Managers, Engineers, Contractors, Consultants, and Client stakeholders. This position is suited for individuals with a background in infrastructure, utilities, transportation, water, urban development, or major engineering projects. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and control detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
• Prepare baseline schedules, revised schedules, and recovery programmes.
• Monitor project progress and analyse schedule performance against approved baselines.
• Conduct Critical Path Analysis and identify schedule risks and mitigation measures.
• Review contractor and subcontractor schedules and assess schedule compliance.
• Coordinate planning activities across engineering, procurement, construction, and project management teams.
• Prepare progress reports, dashboards, KPI reports, and schedule analyses.
• Support project controls activities through schedule forecasting and performance monitoring.
• Participate in project coordination meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify scheduling constraints and provide recommendations to improve project delivery performance.

Qualifications and Expertise

Candidates for this role should possess 2-5 years of experience in project scheduling, specifically within infrastructure or urban development projects. Proficiency in Primavera P6 is required, along with demonstrated experience in Critical Path Analysis and schedule risk management. The role demands an understanding of project controls principles and the ability to interpret and report on schedule performance effectively.
