About the Role

Emdad By Elm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Health Inspector to join our team in Makkah. This full-time role involves ensuring compliance with health and commercial regulations through systematic inspections and monitoring activities. The ideal candidate will possess 5-10 years of relevant experience and a strong understanding of municipal standards.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of the Health Inspector is to conduct professional and commercial inspections, ensuring that establishments adhere to all relevant regulations and requirements. This is achieved through both scheduled and unscheduled visits, as well as active participation in various inspection campaigns to uphold public health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled visits according to the established plan, either via the Raqeb system or through the Branch Manager.
• Verify the compliance of various branches and departments with applicable regulations and systems.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports detailing inspection and monitoring outcomes.
• Update establishment data through regular field visits.
• Escalate critical cases, such as establishment closures or confiscation of non-compliant materials, to designated units in accordance with established procedures.
• Provide necessary recommendations to enhance performance and ensure adherence to specified standards.
• Monitor the implementation of corrective actions proposed based on inspection findings.
• Contribute to the development of policies and procedures related to inspection and oversight.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in one of the following specializations:
  • Food Safety
  • Public Health
  • Food and Nutrition
  • Environmental Protection
  • Epidemiology, or other closely related fields.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of municipal regulations and requirements.
• Demonstrated effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer skills and the ability to operate smart devices.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah. The role requires regular field visits and active engagement with various establishments to ensure regulatory compliance.
