Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Role

Dar Al Riyadh Consultants is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with over 10 years of experience to join our team in Yanbu. This full-time position involves overseeing electrical engineering activities within a PMC project, focusing on design review, technical compliance, and site supervision across all project phases.

Role Overview

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of electrical works, from initial design verification through to testing and commissioning. The role requires a deep understanding of various building electrical systems and adherence to international and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and verify electrical design drawings, specifications, and calculations submitted by consultants and contractors.
• Ensure compliance with project requirements, international codes (*, NEC, IEC, IEEE), and local regulations.
• Coordinate and liaise with architectural, structural, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
• Monitor and inspect electrical works on-site for quality assurance, safety compliance, and adherence to design intent.
• Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and respond to Requests for Information (RFIs).
• Support project planning by validating electrical activities, timelines, and milestones.
• Conduct factory acceptance tests (FAT) and oversee testing and commissioning activities.
• Provide technical support to project teams and contractors during procurement and construction stages.
• Attend project meetings and prepare technical reports and presentations.
• Ensure that sustainability and energy efficiency requirements are integrated into the electrical design, where applicable.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering, including at least 5 years in a PMC or consultancy role.
• Deep understanding of building electrical systems, including LV, MV, lighting, fire alarm, BMS, and ELV systems.
• Proficiency in design and analysis tools such as ETAP, Dialux, AutoCAD, and Revit MEP.
• Thorough knowledge of international codes and standards (NEC, IEC, IEEE, BS, etc.).
• Experience in large-scale infrastructure, commercial, healthcare, or mixed-use developments.
