About the Role
Emerson is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join their team in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position focuses on driving sales growth and strengthening customer relationships within the Western Region of Saudi Arabia. The role involves promoting Emerson’s Flow Control portfolio, including control valves, instruments, services, and solutions, primarily to the chemical, petrochemical, metals, and mining industries.
Role Objectives
The Senior Sales Engineer will act as a trusted advisor to customers, partnering closely to understand their business priorities. The objective is to deliver value-based solutions that support long-term customer success and achieve Emerson's business goals within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve or exceed annual sales targets and business objectives within the assigned territory and accounts.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customer stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
- Communicate Emerson's value propositions, technical differentiation, and solution benefits to position the company as a preferred partner.
- Identify, develop, and advance sales opportunities by aligning customer needs with appropriate products, services, and solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and execute comprehensive account and site plans across the Flow Controls portfolio.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, growth plans, market insights, pricing inputs, and competitive intelligence.
- Collaborate with other Emerson teams to support coordinated customer engagement and portfolio pull-through.
- Support the development and execution of long-term service, spare parts, and turnaround agreements.
- Work with local business partners to identify competitive displacement opportunities and drive upgrades.
- Ensure all business activities comply with Emerson’s ethics, trade compliance, and governance requirements.
- Track and manage sales performance metrics to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Support order follow-up and closure activities to ensure customer satisfaction and timely execution.
- Adhere to Health, Safety & Environment policies as laid by the organization.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant professional experience.
- Strong experience in technical sales within industrial or process industries.
- Solid understanding of control valves or flow control technologies and their applications.
- Proven ability to manage customer relationships and drive business growth.
- Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Willingness to be based in Yanbu and support customers across the Western Region.
Work Environment
This is a full-time position based in Yanbu. The role requires supporting customers across the Western Region of Saudi Arabia.
