Housekeeping Supervisor (Only Locals)

About the Role

InterContinental Hotels Group is seeking a Housekeeping Supervisor to join the team at the First Vignette Collection Hotel in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Carlton Al Moaibed Hotel). This full-time role requires a motivated and detail-oriented individual with 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field. The Housekeeping Supervisor will oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the cleaning and servicing of guest rooms and public areas to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Conduct regular inspections of rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and good condition.
• Ensure guest requests, VIP arrangements, and special requirements are handled promptly and professionally.
• Respond to guest concerns and coordinate with relevant departments to resolve issues.
• Supervise daily housekeeping activities and assign tasks based on hotel occupancy and operational needs.
• Monitor team performance, ensuring all duties are completed efficiently and on time.
• Coach and train colleagues to improve performance and maintain service standards.
• Ensure team members adhere to hotel policies, safety procedures, and grooming standards.
• Support the team during busy periods and assist with deep-cleaning activities as required.
• Monitor the use of housekeeping supplies, amenities, linen, and equipment to control costs and minimize waste.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies.
• Ensure housekeeping equipment is used correctly and maintained in good working condition.
• Support departmental cost-control initiatives and efficient resource management.
• Follow hotel health, safety, hygiene, and environmental procedures.
• Ensure cleaning chemicals are handled, stored, and used safely.
• Support environmental initiatives by reducing waste and conserving water and energy.
• Ensure lost-and-found items are recorded and handled according to hotel procedures.
• Report maintenance issues and safety hazards promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned and support the Manager on Duty when required.

Qualifications and Experience

• 2-5 years of experience in housekeeping operations, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to train and coach team members effectively.
• Knowledge of hotel policies, safety procedures, and grooming standards.
• Proficiency in managing inventory and supporting cost-control initiatives.
• Ability to respond professionally to guest concerns and coordinate with other departments.
