About the Role

Courtyard by Marriott is seeking an Agent-Reservation Sales to manage all aspects of reservation processing. This full-time role involves handling reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received through various channels, ensuring guest needs are met, and maintaining accuracy within the reservation system. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Process all reservation requests, changes, and cancellations received via phone, fax, or mail.
• Identify guest reservation needs, determine appropriate room types, and verify room and rate availability.
• Explain guarantee, special rate, and cancellation policies to callers.
• Accommodate and document special requests, and answer questions about property facilities/services and room accommodations.
• Follow sales techniques to maximize revenue and communicate information regarding designated VIP reservations.
• Input and access data in the reservation system, and respond to challenges in accommodating rooming requests by coordinating with relevant departments.
• Oversee the accuracy of room blocks and reservations, including inputting group rooming lists and revising room blocks as needed.
• Set up proper billing accounts in accordance with Accounting policies.

Operational Duties

• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensuring a professional appearance and maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing service needs, and assisting individuals with disabilities.
• Communicate clearly and professionally, preparing and reviewing written documents accurately.
• Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette and develop positive working relationships with colleagues to support team goals.
• Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards, and visually verify information in various formats.
• Perform physical tasks such as moving objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance, and other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required for this role.
• License or Certification: None.
