Role Summary

The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving drinks according to established recipes and standards. This full-time role involves maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the bar area, managing inventory, and ensuring all guest interactions align with The Ritz-Carlton's "Gold Standards." The position requires adherence to company policies and a commitment to guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare drink orders for guests following specified recipes and using precise measuring systems.
Issue, open, and serve wine and champagne bottles.
Set up and maintain the cleanliness and condition of the bar, bar unit, tables, and tools.
Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks.
Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies, and transport supplies to the bar setup area.
Wash soiled glassware and remove soiled wares from bar tops and tables to designated areas.
Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs for bar supplies.
Process all payment methods accurately.
Count the bank at the end of the shift, complete cashier reports, resolve discrepancies, drop off receipts, and secure the bank.
Secure liquors, beers, wines, coolers, cabinets, and storage areas.
Complete all designated closing duties.

Operational Duties and Standards

Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; and complete required safety training.
Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
Welcome and acknowledge guests according to company standards, anticipate and address service needs, and express genuine appreciation.
Communicate with colleagues using clear and professional language.
Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

Ability to read and visually verify information in various formats.
Capability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or an entire shift.
Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Proficiency in grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
Ability to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, including stairs and ramps.
Capability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
