Position Summary

Rixos Murjana is seeking a Director of Finance to lead and oversee the finance function of the property. This full-time role involves reporting to the General Manager and managing the daily operations of the Finance Department. The Director of Finance will ensure strong financial controls, accurate reporting, budget management, cash flow planning, and compliance with Rixos policies and procedures, as well as applicable Saudi Arabian laws and regulations. The successful candidate will build professional relationships with management, ownership representatives, regional and corporate teams, and external stakeholders, fostering a transparent and positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee Finance, Accounting, Cost Control, Purchasing, and related financial operations.
• Prepare, manage, and monitor the annual operating budget, forecasts, cash flow projections, and working capital requirements.
• Oversee monthly financial reporting, reconciliations, and timely submission of reports to Rixos, ownership, and relevant authorities.
• Maintain effective cash management controls and provide recommendations based on financial performance and cash flow forecasts.
• Monitor revenues, expenses, purchasing, payroll, disbursements, and overall financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with Rixos policies, procedures, financial controls, and applicable Saudi Arabian laws and regulations.
• Maintain strong professional relationships with owners and their representatives.
• Understand and ensure compliance with the management agreement and its key financial requirements.
• Coordinate with the Regional Director of Finance and Regional Office on financial matters, projects, and critical path activities.
• Work closely with all departments to monitor expenses, identify variances, and support cost control initiatives.
• Oversee purchasing controls, inventory counts, fixed assets, and operating equipment purchases.
• Supervise credit management activities and support the reduction of overdue and uncollectible balances.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of tax returns and other statutory reports.
• Liaise with external auditors, legal counsel, government authorities, and other professional advisors when required.
• Maintain accurate records of leases, contracts, licenses, permits, insurance, and other relevant financial and legal documentation.
• Work closely with HR on payroll controls, payroll budgets, and related procedures.
• Coordinate with the IT Department on financial system setup, implementation, and training.
• Lead, coach, train, supervise, and evaluate Finance and related department employees.
• Participate actively in credit meetings, management meetings, training programs, and property initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement, operational efficiency, and financial performance across Rixos Murjana.

Additional Responsibilities

• Coordinate effectively with other Department Heads at Rixos Murjana.
• Monitor staff vacation and public holiday balances and provide required reports to HR.
• Conduct regular technical and skills training within the area of responsibility.
• Ensure team members are familiar with emergency, security, and operational procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of relevant Rixos policies, operational standards, and departmental documentation.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
• Assume Duty Manager responsibilities when scheduled.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience as a Director of Finance or in a similar senior financial leadership role.
• 5-10 years of relevant experience in finance, preferably within the hospitality sector.
• Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain strong financial controls and reporting.
• Strong understanding of budget management, cash flow planning, and financial compliance.
• Familiarity with ISO Integrated Management System and related standards.

Compliance and Quality Management

The Director of Finance will actively support risk management initiatives, environmental impact assessments, energy and water conservation, pollution prevention, guest satisfaction, and continual improvement programs, in compliance with the ISO Integrated Management System and applicable standards.
