About the Role

TAWANTECH is seeking a Disaster Recovery Expert – Supervisor/Lead to oversee Disaster Recovery, IT Resilience, and Business Continuity activities. This full-time role focuses on critical banking systems and technology services, requiring 5-10 years of experience, with mandatory background in banking or financial services.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain DR strategies, plans, procedures, and recovery runbooks.
Define and maintain Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) for critical systems.
Lead DR drills, simulations, failover/failback processes, and recovery testing.
Coordinate with infrastructure, network, cybersecurity, application, database, cloud, and business teams.
Ensure DR environments, backup, replication, High Availability (HA), and recovery capabilities are operational and compliant.
Conduct risk assessments, Business Impact Analysis (BIA), and root-cause analysis for DR issues.
Ensure alignment with banking regulations, audit requirements, and IT governance standards.
Manage DR vendors and provide regular readiness and risk reports to management.
Lead and mentor DR and technical teams.

Qualifications and Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of experience in Disaster Recovery, IT Resilience, Infrastructure, or Business Continuity.
Mandatory banking or financial services experience is required.
Previous experience in a Lead or Supervisor role is preferred.
Strong knowledge of DR architecture, data centers, cloud platforms, virtualization technologies, backup and replication solutions, and high availability concepts.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
